Important message from Majors Paul and Gill Billard

We are all aware of events, via your various news outlets, what we are facing cur rently due to the Covid 19/Coronavirus.

The Church Leadership Team is meeting regularly to review both Government and Salvation Army guidance on dealing with the current situation.

Following the Government’s recent statements, we have decided to suspend all activities in our building until further notice. This will include all Sunday meetings. Rainbows Pre-School is closed, however, we are looking at the provision for children of key workers and vulnerable children. We are continuing to monitor the situation as more information becomes available and will make necessary changes when appropriate.

While we are not able to meet together at this time as a church family, we still want to maintain and support our fellowship and will be putting things in place to stay connected.

Food bank urgent appeal

We are working with the three major food banks within Spelthorne to jointly cover the needs of the most vulnerable across the whole borough. The Salvation Army will be the main contact point for residents in need in Ashford (TW15).

We will be packing and distributing basic food bags to the community, and shopping for our church family where needed.

Items we need to stock are:

Dried Pasta & Rice

Tinned Meat Balls, Sausages, Tuna

Pasta Sauces

Baked Beans

Tinned Pulses

Tinned Soup

Tinned Tomatoes, Green Vegetables, Sweet Corn Porridge Oats/Cereal

If you are able to supply any of these items, please bring them to the drop off point at the hall during the hours 9am-12 noon Monday-Friday.

Thank you, your help is invaluable.
